Belgian graphics and imaging group Agfa-Gevaert said on Thursday it had won a contract to provide a Canadian healthcare organisation with a network of diagnostic equipment. Agfa said in a statement it would provide Capital Health in the province of Alberta a digital imaging network that would allow doctors to view and archive diagnostic images of their patients on computers. It said the network would be its biggest in the North American healthcare sector.
With 13 hospitals, Capital Health serves 1.6 million people. Agfa did not put a value to the deal.
